Disability Facilities at Blundell Park
The club provides the following for supporters with a disability:
22 Wheelchair Bays for home & away supporters plus a further 30 seats allocated for their helpers.
We also have a wide range of seating available for Ambulant Disabled supporters. Ambulant Disabled supporters also have the option of sitting anywhere in the Main, Pontoon, Osmond(Predominantly only available for visiting supporters) or Findus Stands however the Upper Findus and McMenemy’s is only assessable via stairs, as the design of the building does not permit the install of a lift and therefore is unable to accommodate wheelchair users. Please contact the Disability Liaison Officer Lisa Piggott for advice on seating prior to any ticket purchase.
Qualification Required – Disabled Season Tickets
To qualify to purchase a Disabled Season Ticket, supporters must have documentation proving to be currently in receipt of Personal Independence Payment (PIP) at the high rate. A complimentary carer Season Ticket is available if required for those receiving PIP at the higher rate care component.
Season Tickets for disabled supporters are charged at the concession rate in the relevant stand.
Carers of Disabled Season Ticket holders are issued with their Season Tickets free of charge as they are regarded as necessary support to disabled supporters. If for any reason the disabled supporter cannot attend a specific match but the carer still wishes to attend, please contact the Ticket Office to upgrade the Season Ticket on that occasion. Any carers’ tickets used when the disabled supporter is not in attendance will result in both Season Ticket cards being deactivated for the remainder of the season.
Cup-ties and other games at Blundell Park
Season Tickets are valid for 23 home league matches only, supporters who wish to purchase tickets for other matches such as cup or play-off fixtures must contact the Ticket Office ahead of the game in question to purchase their tickets. Season Ticket holder seats are reserved until 5pm on the day before the match, after this time these seats will go on general sale.
Away Match Tickets
For each fixture away from home, the club requests as many wheelchair and ambulant disabled tickets as possible.
Tickets will be sold through the Ticket Office and should demand exceed supply, Season Ticket holders will be given first priority followed by Mariners Trust Members.
Disabled Tickets can be purchased through the Ticket Office.
The Ticket Office is open between 9.00am and 5.00pm Monday to Friday
Saturdays (matchdays) 9.00am to kick-off and 30 minutes after the game.
Tickets can be purchased in person at the Ticket Office or by telephone on 01472 605050, Option 4.
Unfortunately our online system cannot process complimentary carers’ tickets so this must be done in person or by telephone.
Due to the age and configuration of Blundell Park, there is only 1 toilet suitable to be used by wheelchair users. This facility is located at the rear of the Main Stand, opposite the School of Excellence Bar.
Radio Commentary for Visually Impaired Supporters
There are several headsets available, allowing the visually impaired to receive hospital radio commentary from the Main Stand. Headsets must be collected from Hospital Radio in the Main Stand (K95) and require supporters to sit in seats K95 – K105 as the headsets are hard wired up to hospital radio.
