Boreham Wood 1 - 3 Grimsby Town

THE Mariners bounced back from last week's disappointing result against Macclesfield with a comprehensive win at Meadow Park this afternoon.

A bizarre own goal handed Town the lead after just eight minutes, when Scott Doe’s sliced clearance eluded his keeper.

Omar Bogle doubled the Mariners lead on 69 minutes, rolling the ball past Edwards from the edge of the box.

And Arnold made it three soon after following some great play by Andy Monkhouse.

McDonald, a Boreham Wood substitute,  scored a consolation for the home side with 10 minutes to go, heading home at the far post.

Paul Hurst made four changes from the side which lost against Macclesfield Town last week.

Out went Richard Tait, Craig Clay, Jack Mackreth and Marcus Marshall, with Danny East, Andy Monkhouse, Craig Disley and Nathan Arnold coming back into Paul Hurst's starting Xl.

The Town team: McKeown, East, Nsiala, Pearson, Robertson, Arnold, Disley, Robinson, Monkhouse, Amond, Bogle.

Subs: Mackreth, Clay, Pittman, Marshall, Tait.
