18 year old striker Ahkeem Rose has agreed to join the Mariners on an 18-month contract.
The Jamaican front man, who has been on trial with Neil Woods' youth team, has impressed Town's coach.
Speaking to gtfc.co.uk, Neil said: " He's a very quick striker, scores goals, and he's got a fantastic work ethic.
"He needs to get better, holding the ball up in tight areas, but he's something from the 21's downwards that we don't really have in our system.
"We had him in at Walsall, we had him all pre-season, and we really liked him. Unfortunately we had just committed to bringing in three first year strikers. So he wasn't the right fit at the right time at Walsall. Everybody liked him as a person, everybody liked him as a player.
"He's done very well since he came here. He's scored three goals in three games, had an hand in another goal. He's giving us a focal point for our attacks, he works very hard off of the ball as well.
"He's generally a top lad to have around."
