GRIMSBY Town Football Club are delighted to announce that Goalkeeper, James McKeown has put pen to paper on a new 2 year deal, that will keep him at the club until the summer of 2018.
26 year old McKeown signed for the club in 2011 after previously working with manager, Paul Hurst at Boston United, where he kept 14 clean sheets in 18 appearances.
After consecutive heartaches suffered in the National League play offs, James is looking forward to being back in the Sky Bet Football League.
"After the season, I wanted to take a bit of time to weigh up my options. I always wanted to sign. A big thing for me was being back in the league." McKeown said. "Obviously I want to get as high as I can and I think that, with the management and staff that we have, they want to win."
James has proven to be an integral part of the Grimsby Town squad, making over 50 appearances in each of the past 3 seasons.
