THE club have turned down a 'derisory' offer from Peterborough United for defender Ryan Bennett.

The Posh made the bid last Thursday and Town chairman John Fenty has dismissed their offer.

Speaking to www.gtfc.co.uk, John Fenty said: "There's been a lot of passing interest I n Ryan and he's obviously got a bright future in front of him.

"He's a key player and we simply will not be accepting Peterborough's derisory offer."
