Town Beaten By Tigers

GRIMSBY Town were beaten 2-1 by Hull City in a private practice game this afternoon.

The Tigers took the lead from the penalty spot in the first half which Ghilas, before a great strike by Danny Boshell levelled things. But Vennagoor Hesslink was on hand to fire home from close in to seal the win late in the second half.

The Mariners included trialists Curtley Williams, who is a former Ipswich Town left back, former Crystal Palace and Millwall midfielder Ryan Smith and Tim Cathalina, a Dutch defender who has been playing for FC Emmen.

Also playing for the Mariners were; Leigh Overton, Danny Boshell, Jamie Clarke, Danny North, Nick Hegarty, Wes Fletcher, Jammal Shahin and Ashley Chambers. Hull included Matt Duke, Jan Vennagoor Hesslink, Bernard Mendy and Celab Folan in their side.
