Woods Gets His Stopper

Posted on: Wed 09 Jun 2010

THE Mariners have signed Rochdale keeper Kenny Arthur on a 2-year-deal.

Kenny began his career Partick Thistle and made a total of 290 appearances in his 10 years there. During his time there he was named in the Scotland squad twice under Berti Vogts but failed to make an appearance.

He joined Accrington Stanley in 2007, but suffered a broken leg in October of that year in a match at Bradford. He returned the following February and continued to impress. He was again an integral part of the Stanley side the following year that survived relegation from the Football League. He made 71 appearances in his time at the Crown Ground.

He made the switch to Spotland last summer and was part of Dale's promotion winning side.
