Charlie Set For Town

Posted on: Mon 05 Jul 2010

FORMER Crawley Town striker Charles Ademeno has agreed to join the Mariners on a 2-year-deal.

After coming through the ranks at Southend United, the pacy frontman signed a pro deal for the Essex club in 2007.

Ademeno made his debut for Southend in their 4-1 win against Brentford on the 14 March 2006. He spent much of the following season out on loan at Cambridge United and later went out to Welling United after recovering from knee surgery.

After being released from Southend, the 21-year-old signed for Crawley Town last season and went onto score 11 goals for Steve Evans' side.

He is said to have attracted the attention of several Football League clubs while at the Broadfield Stadium - including Southampton and Millwall.
