Stirling Albion 2 Grimsby Town 0

Neil Woods used tonight's game to take another look at former Cheltenham winger David Hutton. He lined up on the left of the Town midfield and looked lively at times.

Nick Colgan start s in goal for Town. Lewis Gobern makes his first start for the Mariners. Kenny Arthur missed out because of a thigh strain.

The home side took the lead 8 minutes when Borris was tripped in the box. Chris Aitken stepped up to put the ball out of Colgan's reach and into the bottom left hand corner. The goal came after a sustained period of pressure from the home side.

Unfortunately Lewis Gobern came off on 25 minutes, presumably because of an injury.

A superb strike by an Albion trialist made it 2-0 on 76 minutes, his thunderbolt into the top corner gave Colgan no chance.
