A single Andy Parkinson gave the Mariners their first pre-season win at Sincil Bank this afternoon. The Imps keeper was unsighted as Parky's 20 yarder flew in.

Both teams used the second half to use their full squads.

New signing Gary Jones came on for the last 20 minutes of the game. He showed some good touches and got into some good positions, but looked a little rusty after missing pre-season training with Town.

 Russell Slade used the game to cast an eye over former Leeds United defender Stuart Edwards. 

Town starting team: Mildenhall, McDermott, Jones-R, Newey, Ramsden, Crane, Bolland, Kalala, Parkinson, Reddy, Gritton.

Speaking after the game, the Town boss told us: "I'm pleased with regards the fitness - we are getting there. I was very happy with our movement in the first half."
