Experienced midfielder Mark Hudson was plucked from non-league Gainsborough in November 2009 and has begun establishing himself in the Mariners' first team.
The 29-year-old began his career with Middlesbrough and is best remembered for his spells with Chesterfield and Rotherham. He is a real box-to-box midfielder who is strong in the tackle and has a good range of passing.
