Manager Neil Woods moved quickly to secure the services of Scottish goalkeeper Kenny Arthur, bringing the 31-year-old to Blundell Park from Rochdale.

Arthur made his name in Scotland with Partick, where he spent ten successful years, earning himself two call-ups to the national squad in the process.

He impressed in two seasons with Accrington before helping Dale to League One. Kenny is a tall, imposing presence between the sticks and he has excellent agility and is a good communicator.
