Versatile midfielder Grant Normington was handed a six-month deal by manager Alan Buckley towards the end of last season.
A member of the Mariners' Midland Floodlit Cup winning side of 2006, Grant was originally a midfielder, before settling on the right back slot last season.
The 18-year-old has regularly impressed for the Youth and Reserve sides and will be looking to force his way into the side this term. New manager Mike Newell handed Grant his debut in his second game in charge at Exeter.
