Akwasi Asante (24), who joined Solihull Moors in 2015 has agreed an 18 month contract, which will keep him with the Mariners until the summer of 2018.
He began his professional career at Birmingham City, where he enjoyed loan spells at Northampton Town and Shrewsbury Town respectively. In 2015, he made the move to Kidderminster Harriers, making 11 appearances before making the move to the West Midlands. The Dutch striker's 17 league goals helped secure Solihull Moors' promotion to the Vanarama National League, following their Championship winning campaign in the 2015/16 season. So far this season, Asante has scored 12 goals in 24 league and FA Cup appearances, including consecutive hat-tricks vs. Maidstone and Southport in October 2016.
