Town Appoint Adam Smith As Head Of Youth

5 October 2012

GRIMSBY Town Football Club announces the appointment of Adam Smith as Head of Youth, following Robbie Stockdale’s move to Sunderland AFC.

Adam has been on the youth coaching staff for five years and is the current School of Excellence Manager. His tireless work with the Under 16 age groups and his involvement in coaching the full-time apprentices sees him as natural successor to the position.

Adam has previously held the post successfully for six months in a caretaker capacity following Neil Woods becoming first team manager.

The twenty seven year olds’ new role also sees him take charge of reserve team matches.

He is currently the holder of the UEFA ‘B’ coaching license and is midway through attaining his ‘A’ Licence qualification.

Adam takes up the post with immediate effect and the process will now begin to recruit a Centre’s manager to take over his responsibilities at Oasis Wintringham Academy.
