DESPITE the snow and ice which has hit the east coast over the past week, the club are confident that Tuesday’s Blue Square Bet Premier League fixture against Hyde will go ahead.
The Blundell Park pitch is currently covered by snow, but is soft underneath.
With sub-zero temperatures and more snow set for Sunday and Monday night, the plan is to leave the snow on the pitch until Tuesday.
Hopefully the snow will insulate the pitch and protect it from freezing. We may require some volunteers on Tuesday. There are no planned pitch inspections.
Please stay on gtfc.co.uk for further news.
Early Bird tickets can be bought right up to Tuesday afternoon.
