Court Imposed Football Banning Orders

19 June 2013

It is the policy of Grimsby Town Football Club to send a letter of conditions to any supporter coming off a court imposed football banning order. This letter as stated is  standardised  and not reflective of the individual banning circumstances and gives supporters caught up in match day disorder the chance to attend football matches as a supporter once again. Conditions for those coming off a court ban protects the interests of Grimsby Town Football Club and our supporters by removing the incentive for new disorder by previously banned supporters who only turn up for certain home fixtures.

Grimsby Town Football Club does not differentiate between supporters on banning orders. This policy allows for a fair and consistent approach however individual circumstances will be considered, should any supporter wish to make representation to the club. The policy of sending letters out to banned supporters pre-dates the Burton bans and has been the policy of Grimsby Town Football Club since October 2012.

All supporters coming off a court ban regardless of the event that it relates to are asked to adhere to the season ticket purchase condition. This condition is subject to the individual circumstances and any representation made by the support to the club.
