TOWN joint boss Paul Hurst was obviously delighted after seeing his side win a promotion rivals Forest Green Rovers tonight.
Firstly he was asked how valuable he thought the three points were.
He said: “We will see. But it is a good three points against a good team who are up there challenging.
“With the exception of them hitting the post, we’ve limited them to very, very little.
“It panned out how I hoped it would after watching them on Saturday - the longer the game goes they get a little frustrated.
“We’ve got options to get the ball wide to Marshy and Joe, and to really stretch the game.
“The longer it went in the second half I could see a goal coming. It was a little scrappy but it came from a good bit of pressure and a good ball in.
“I spoke before the game about if we came away from here with a point, in terms of Forest Green themselves, it makes it more difficult for them.
“Nothing’s over but it gives us a bit of a cushion in terms of the play-offs.”
Paul confirmed that Derek Niven limped off with a groin injury which could potentially sideline the midfielder for a while.
