SUPPORTERS queued in the club shop to get their Alan Buckley autobiography’s signed by the great man himself on Saturday.
'Pass and Move - My Story' details Buckley's 45 years in professional football, from his formative years as a player at Nottingham Forest to his record-breaking feats at Walsall.
And, of course, it looks at his managerial stints at West Brom, Lincoln and Rochdale, which punctuated three sparkling spells at Blundell Park, where he is credited with transforming the Mariners' fortunes.
During his time with Town, he guided the club to successive promotions in 1990 and 1991 before leading them to double Wembley glory in the 1998 Division Two Play-Off Final and Auto Windscreens Shield.
Around 150 books were snapped up during the ninety minutes that the former boss was in the club shop.
We are hoping to repeat the signing session in the near future.
