UPDATE: Wednesday’s scan shows that there is definitely no broken bones but there is some ligament damage. There is a small chance that Lenell will require some surgery though. The player has now been told to rest for the next week or so and then he will begin a recovery programme.
LENELL John-Lewis received a massive boost on Wednesday when a scan revealed that his injury wasn't as bad as first feared.
It was feared that the former Bury striker had broken a bone in his foot and would be sidelined for the rest of the season, but an MRI scan on Tuesday confirmed that the bone wasn't broken and it would hopefully only be a matter of weeks before he can return to action.
The player has since had another scan and hopefully we can confirm the good news later this morning (around 11am).
