PC Jason McCusker, along with Grimsby Police Station office manager Andy Thorpe, will be heading to the world's most famous mountain to raise money for St Andrew's Hospice, in Grimsby, and Great Ormond Street Hospital, in London.
As part of the training for Everest, Jason walked almost 60 miles from Bridlington to Blundell Park ahead of Saturday's Vanarama Conference game against Dover at Blundell Park.
Jason arrived at Blundell Park at around 1pm and still found the energy to head the bucket collections on the turnstiles.
The pair are heading for Everest between 3rd October and 21st October 2014.
