MARINERS Fan Edward Riley (Ted) celebrated his 90th birthday at Blundell Park last week.
Ted, who has been following Town for over eighty years, was treated to guided tour of the stadium, a look behind the scenes at Blundell Park, concluding with coffee and cake in the boardroom.
The surprise birthday treat had been organised by close friend Tracey Garbutt, who was originally planning on buying Ted some Town socks and a mug.

Unsurprisingly Ted's fondest memories of the Mariners were the Buckley years and the two trips to Wembley in 1998, but the 1938-39 season also stands out as one of his best times following the Mariners - that was the season when the club reached the FA Cup semi finals.
Despite following the club for such a long time, it was the first time the nonagenarian had been behind the scenes at Blundell Park and he was a little bit overwhelmed by the day.
Speaking afterwards, Ted said: "Today is now my favourite Grimsby Town moment."
