ASWAD Thomas has been ruled out of Friday's Vanarama Conference match against Forest Green Rovers after picking up a groin injury.
A fracture. a calf injury and illness have all been set-backs for the Town defender in recent months.
And Town boss Paul Hurst says that it has been a frustrating time for the left sided player and himself. He said:" I think it is easy to decide what the back four might be for this game.
"Behind that I've still got Paul Bignott, Chris Doig, Paul Walker and Caine Winfarrah. I've got some options but it's kind of taken a decision out of my hands.
"His groin is sore, he's getting some discomfort there. He's had the fracture earlier on, his calf and his groin. It's frustrating for Aswad and it's also frustrating for me."
And Paul Hurst will decide whether to recall Toto Nsiala for the visit of Ady Pennock's side. Toto, who is one booking away from a two-game ban, was rested for last week's FA Trophy tie at Nuneaton.
Friday's game is a Kids For A Quid game. Children can enter the stadium for just £1 - with a voucher from the Grimsby Telegraph.
