Grimsby Town Football Club’s sticker album has received national acclaim, featuring in the new edition of ‘FourFourTwo’ – the country’s leading football magazine.
Since the initiative was launched at the start of November, nearly 4,000 packs of have now been sold; resulting in a flurry of activity on the club’s social media, with hundreds of supporters trading their ‘swaps’ using the hashtag, #gotgotneedGTFC.
The Panini-like sticker album – printed by Wyndeham Gait – includes all of the current squad as well as a number of ‘classic’ players. So far, 58 of the 60 stickers are in circulation, with sticker number ‘55’ and ‘56’ yet to be printed. The two ‘mystery’ stickers will be released in early 2015, and will only be made available in our matchday programme, ‘The Mariner’. Keep an eye on www.gtfc.co.uk for further details in the New Year.
In other sticker-related news, the club have arranged a ‘swap shop’ morning in the Mariners Trust bar before the AFC Telford United game on Saturday 31st January, between 10am and midday. If you already have a number of duplicate stickers and want to be the first person to complete the album – get yourself along to the event.
