THE Mariners have signed Scunthorpe United striker Connor Jennings on an initial one-month loan deal.
United signed the 23-year-old from Stalybridge Celtic in January 2012, penning a two-and-a-half-year deal.
Born in Manchester, Jennings rose through the ranks at Stalybridge and was a prolific goal scorer in just shy of three years as a consistent starter at the club.
The frontman scored on his debut for the Badgers towards the end of the 2009-2010 season and netted 11 goals in all competitions in the next campaign before hitting the back of the net 18 times in 2011-2012.
Overall he scored 51 goals in 123 games for the Bower Fold club before joining United in January 2012 for an undisclosed fee.
Connor has spent a successful loan spell at Macclesfield, banging in 17 goals in 18 appearances for the Silkmen.
Connor is set to go straight into the squad to face Salisbury on Saturday.
