Memories Game Praised By Number 10

11 February 2014

THE Grimsby Town Memories Game has been praised by Number 10.

The work by all at Grimsby Town Football Club in raising awareness of dementia at the Mariners Memories Game has been acknowledged in a letter from Number 10 Downing Street.

The  fixture against Kidderminster back in December was promoted as ‘The Mariners Memories Game’ to encourage fans to share their favourite recollections of the club and it's rich history, whilst raising awareness of ways in which the lives of those living with dementia can be enriched.

The event was  led by the Grimsby Town Sport and Education Trust and the Sporting Memories Network, which has established a national reputation for promoting and developing the use of sporting memories to improve well-being, through conversation and reminiscence.
