TODAY’s Skrill Premier League game at Wrexham has been called off because of a waterlogged pitch.
A deluge at 1.15pm flooded the pitch, as well as the local roads.
The match referee has been on the pitch for 30 minutes before finally making the inevitable decision just before 2pm.
Speaking soon after the decision was made, Town boss Paul Hurst said:“Ultimately the right decision was made. Myself and Andy (Morrell) were on the pitch, getting our feet wet, it wasn’t playable. It was clear for everyone to see.
“It is frustrating, but when it is like that there is no conflict of interests. I think both managers would have liked to have seen a good and proper game of football but that wouldn’t have been.”
More from Paul soon - including the latest on his transfer targets.
