Scarborough 0 v 3 Town

12 July 2014

Latest: Scarborough 0 Town 3

Paul Hurst had given two trialists a chance to impress, an unnamed midfielder and an unnamed striker.  Both had arrived on Friday and trained with the team for the first time.

Goals by Ross Hannah, a goal by one of the trialists and a fantastic strike by Scott Brown gave the Mariners a comfortable win against a decent Scarborough side.

Hannah opened the scoring when he tapped home following good work from another trialist on the left, who laid the ball on a plate for the striker.

And the Mariners doubled their advantage in fine style through the trialist's sweetly-struck half-volley.

The scoring was rounded off by Scott Brown, who hammered home an equally impressive strike from the edge of the box.

Town: McKeown, Walker, Pearson, Nsiala, Thomas, Mackreth, Trialist, McLaughlin, Neilson, Hannah, Trialist.

Subs: Bignot, Winfarrah, Humble, Brown, Jennings, John-Lewis, Bastock.

Highlights of the game will be on Mariners Player tomorrow.
