Mackreth Joins Town

FORMER Macclesfield winger Jack Mackreth has joined the Mariners on a one-year deal.

Jack joined the Silkmen in the summer of 2012, signing on a one year deal from Barrow. The pacy right winger was an almost ever-present the previous for the Bluebirds as they achieved a mid table position in the Conference National, taking home the club's player of the year award as well as being nominated as one of the top five players in the Conference most likely to make it into the Football League. He is also a member of the Semi Pro Wales U23 squad.

The winger had come through the ranks at Tranmere Rovers where he gained extra experience with loan spells at Burscough, Colwyn Bay and Cammell Laird as well as a spell with Hyde the following season.

He played nearly 50 times for the Silkmen last season, scoring four goals.
