GRIMSBY Town director John Fenty and the Mariners Trust chairman Chris Parker are urging fans go to Gateshead and get behind the team.
Town fans have been allocated 3,000 seats at the International Stadium, but with supporters now able to pay on the day, the away end could be rocking at 4.30 on Sunday.
John Fenty said: “The fans have been terrific behind the team this season and now we need them to give us a final surge. We now need to show that massive support and then hopefully we will get a key to the door - we then just have to turn it,” John added.
And Chris Parker thinks that the International Stadium is the only place to be if the Mariners book their place at Wembley.
He said: “I think there will be big numbers. I know there has been some concerns about the seating arrangements and being too far away from the goal. But, wouldn’t you want to be there if we make it to this play-off final. I personally just want to be there with the rest of the Town fans, having a party atmosphere in the north east.”
