Scott Brown could be out for up to a month after picking up an ankle ligament injury at Torquay. Scott twisted his ankle just before half time but felt okay to continue after the half-time break. He came off with just 10 minutes to go of the game and was again feeling okay on Sunday. Unfortunately the injury became very painful on Monday and he was sent for an x-ray. Although the results of that x-ray show no broken bones, Town physio Dave Moore still describes the injury as 'very nasty'.
And speaking to Mariners Player, Mooreo said: "Certainly it is quite a nasty injury, but at the moment I am more optimistic than I was when he went for the x-ray. Right now, on the presentation, I would say he will be out for the best part of a month - maybe longer than that, maybe shorter than that. We might get a pleasant surprise, we might not. I will now consult with our orthopaedic surgeon, Mr Howell and we'll see where we go from here."
We'll have an exclusive interview with Dave and Scott on Mariners Player soon.
