VANARAMA are delighted to announce that the winner of the Vanarama Conference Manager of the Month award for October is Paul Hurst of Grimsby Town.
The Mariners have had an impressive month remaining unbeaten in their last six games. The Mariners are currently eighth in the Vanarama Conference league table.
On the announcement of the award Paul said: “It's nice to get the award, it means that we are doing something right. As a lot of managers say, it is true, it is the players and the performances that they put in. I'm almost just the person that receives this award on behalf of the players. It's a reward for some of the good performances that the lads have put in, and as a result, we have gained some valuable victories. It's pleasing for the club, as well as myself."
The official awards panel said: “With Forest Green, Grimsby and Macclesfield all remaining unbeaten in October, the battle for the Vanarama Conference Manager of the Month award was closely fought.
Paul Hurst edged it after leading his team to back-to-back away wins against tough opposition. Following what Paul regarded as a poor September, the Mariners have moved up the Vanarama Conference and have a home tie against Oxford United of League 2 to look forward to in the FA Cup.”
Congratulations Paul Hurst of Grimsby Town on winning this award and we wish him the very best for the rest of the season.
