Torquay Team News

16 October 2014

Craig Clay is a injury concern ahead of Saturday's Vanarama Conference clash at Torquay.  The midfielder trained on Thursday but is reporting that he is a little bit sore after that training session. He will travel with the team on Friday and will be assessed ahead of the game.

Chris Doig, Danny Parslow and Carl Magnay are all contenders to come in for the suspended Shaun Pearson. Shaun misses the trip to Plainmoor after picking five yellow cards.

Jon-Paul Pittman is now fit and available after recovering from a hamstring injury, but Paul Hurst is unlikely to risk the striker at Torquay. The Town boss said: "He's had a relatively long lay-off and we don't want to throw him back in too early.  With the other players that we've got there is not the necessity to try and rush JP, but I would envisage him being involved against Guiseley next week.
