Town boss Paul Hurst is hoping that Jon-Paul Pittman's injury isn't as bad as first feared. The striker limped out of Saturday's clash with Torquay with a hamstring injury and it was feared that the player would be out for a number of weeks. Speaking ahead of Tuesday's trip to Halifax, Paul said: "He'll certainly be out for a few weeks, but we'll probably look at that later in the week and get a further assessment on it."
Lenell John Lewis, who also limped out of Saturday's game, after jarring his ankle in a tackle, will miss the trip to the Shay but it is hoped that the striker could be fit for Saturday's Vanarama Conference league fixture at Kidderminster. Â
The Mariners are also hoping to have Nathan Arnold available ahead of the weekend. Nathan has been sidelined with a thigh injury.Â
Several phone calls later, Paul Hurst has been busy trying to get a striker in ahead of Tuesday's game but that is now looking very unlikely.Â
