No England Stint For Jack

17 September 2014

JACK Mackreth won't be joining up with the England C squad at the weekend after all.

The Town winger had been called up to join England at a training camp at St Georges but it has since been discovered that the former Southport player has previously represented Wales. Jack played for Wales against Estonia in the International Challenge Trophy competition.

The England C boss has named a 22-man "training" squad ahead of the game in Turkey. The squad will meet up at St.George's Park on Saturday. Town midfielder Craig Clay has been named in a contingency squad.
