GRIMSBY Town Football Club together with the Mariners Trust are delighted to announce the addition of a new bar in Imperial Corner.
The new bar is under the floodlight tower in Imperial Corner and is available on a match day for Pontoon and Lower Findus supporters.
Stadium Manager Nick Dale explained: “For some time now we have been working with the Mariners Trust to identify a new area to facilitate Lower Findus supporters due to demand for the Mariners Trust Bar exceeding the room’s capacity. This has resulted in a strict one in one out policy leaving several supporters extremely frustrated as they wait for half time refreshments. The new outside bar is a great way for supporters from both stands to intermingle whilst also allowing for all supporters to get their much needed drink.”
The new bar is due to be fitted out with draft beer next week although for Saturday’s match bottled beer will be decanted into polycarbonate glass.
Demand on Saturday is most certainly going to exceed the capacity of the Mariners Trust Bar (180) therefore access to this area from the Lower Findus will be for season ticket holders only, simply show your season ticket at the transfer gate and stewards will allow you through (Subject to capacity). All supporters in the Lower Findus will have access to the new bar in Imperial Corner and wrists will be stamped as you transfer through to the new area, this ensures that only those supporters with tickets for the Lower Findus transfer back.
Grimsby Town Football Club would like to thank the Mariners Trust and ground staff for their assistance in getting the new area ready for supporters and ask that we all help support the Mariners Trust by using this bar. The new bar is currently without a name and here is the chance for you the supporter to send your suggestions in. Simply email your suggestions through to: email@example.com
