TO celebrate 30 years of the iconic Young’s Chip Shop range, the Mariners will today wear special one-off shirts carrying the range’s logo. At this afternoon’s final match of the season against Aldershot Town, the Town players will wear the shirts as part of the company’s celebration of 30 years of the brand.
Commenting on the news Pete Ward, Chief Executive of Young’s Seafood Limited said: “It’s great to see our local team sporting Young’s Chip Shop branding on their shirts. We’re very proud to be celebrating 30 years of the iconic brand and we can’t think of a better way than by helping the Mariner’s celebrate getting to the play-offs with these special shirts. Grimsby Town Football Club is an important part of our community and many of our staff are faithful Mariners. As part of our Fish for Life Corporate Responsibility programme, we’re committed to playing a positive role in the communities where we are based. We’ve supported the team for over a decade and on behalf of everyone at Young’s, I’d like to wish them all the best in the play-offs and their battle for promotion.”
