TOWN boss Paul Hurst has been named as the Vanarama Conference Manager of the Month for March.
Town have put themselves firmly in the driving seat for automatic promotion, remaining unbeaten in March and picking up a total of 13 points. The Mariners are now within a point of top spot and leaders Barnet.
On the announcement of the award Paul said: “I'm delighted to receive the award as usual. It's on the back of the players putting in a great run at a crucial time of the season.
"The fact that we've picked up as many points is going to make these last few games interesting. The fans have played a big part in this run also, with the support that they've given us. Fingers crossed that we can have a good finish to the season."
The official award panel said: “With the season drawing to a very exciting climax, Town carry the momentum, which could be the all-important factor in the race for automatic promotion. No one will want to meet Paul Hurst’s squad in the season run-in. Having taken his club to the Play Offs last season he is well positioned to make the next step and take Grimsby back into the Football League, and seal his spot in Mariners folklore.”
Congratulations Paul Hurst on winning this award and we wish him the very best for the rest of the season.
Awards panel consists of representatives from the Football Conference, Media and Vanarama.
