Fans Behaviour Praised By Police

30 August 2015

LINCOLNSHIRE Police have praised the Lincoln City and Grimsby Town fans’ behaviour on Saturday.

The Lincolnshire force made just one arrest during the derby game at Sincil Bank.

They say that they arrested a local man on suspicion of assault and praised both sets of supporters for an "impeccably observed" minute's silence before the game kicked off.

The silence was for fans to pay their respects to the victims of last week's Shoreham Air Show disaster in which 11 people died, including Worthing United footballers Matt Grimstone and Jacob Schilt, when a jet crashed onto a busy road.
