MARCUS Marshall is set to miss the start of the season after picking up a Medial Knee Ligament injury at Boston at the weekend.
The winger has been in good form since his return to Blundell Park in the summer and the news comes as a massive blow to Town boss Paul Hurst who already has several injury concerns going into the new season.
"The competition in the squad is starting to get a little thin with the injuries we already had going into Saturday at Boston – and then Marshy had to come off," Hurst said.
Scott Brown, Jon-Paul Pittman, Gregor Robertson and Josh Sunter are already sidelined, but there is some better news on Omar Bogle. The big striker, who has missed the last three pre-season games with a knee injury, returned to training on Tuesday and could be ready for the big kick-off at Kidderminster on Saturday.Â
On Omar, Hurst added: "I would obviously have preferred Omar to have been fit all pre-season.
"My only concern is that he's missed more training sessions and game time time."
It is not know at this stage how long Marcus will be out for.
