Hurst Delighted With Derby Win

28 December 2015

TOWN boss Paul Hurst was delighted to bag the three points in front of a packed house at Blundell Park today.

He said :”It's only three points but it's a nice three points.

“It's great to send that crowd home happy. Fantastic atmosphere, big build up, and we got the result.

“I thought the first half was scrappy. The message at half time was to start passing the ball to each other. Every time we passed the ball we created chances.”

Asked about Luke Waterfall's 29th minute dismissal, the Town boss said: “Thinking back it's one of those that you can debate and argue.

“I've just spoken the the assessor, for my own piece of mind, they think it is a sending off by the rules that they are guided under. So I guess it is.”

The only negative from today's game was an injury picked up by Conor Townsend.

“It was a kick. I would have thought so but you are never quite sure. I don't think it is anything obviously like a twisted ankle, ligament damage or anything like that.

“That's something we'll have to check on,” Paul Hurst added.
