THE Mariners slip down a place in the Vanarama National League table after Dover's 2-1 victory at strugglers Welling. Town now, who are now fifth in the National League, Â have three games in hand over the Crabble side though.
Cheltenham seven points clear of second placed Forest Green Rovers after their 2-1 win at Kidderminster Harriers, while Rovers were thumped 4-1 at Torquay United.Â
Third place Eastleigh fought out a 2-2 draw at mid-table Bromley.Â
Macclesfield Town, Lincoln City and Wrexham all failed to make up ground  on the sides currently occupying the play-off spots.  The Silkmen went down 1-0 at home to Tranmere Rovers, The Imps, who are the visitors to Blundell Park on Monday, succumb to a 70th minute winner from Sam Walker, while Wrexham suffered a home defeat at the hands of lowly Southport, with Blakemen's scoring the only goal of the game for the Merseyside club.
