THE Mariners are set to again be without Ollie Palmer for Saturday's Vanarama Conference clash at Barnet.

The Mansfield Town loanee picked up a hamstring injury at Forest Green and has been sidelined since.

However, the player was hoping for a return to action this weekend.

Town physio, Dave Moore explains: "The news on Ollie Palmer is a bit disappointing today. He probably thought that he was in the same sort of position as JP and he would be training today or tomorrow. He has not quite felt quite as good today and his hamstring is a little bit tight. He's done some half paced, three quarter pace stuff but he still feels it is a little bit tight. That would need to make some improvement for him to be involved on Saturday," he added.

Scott Brown and Jon Paul Pittman both trained today and Town boss Paul Hurst will have to make a decision on whether they travel to the capital after such lengthy lay-offs. Paul said: "Both players have trained and came through okay, but we will check on them again tomorrow."
