Please Take A Minute To Complete The Local Plan Survey

19 February 2015

PLEASE take a minute to complete the Local Plan survey.

Ultimately the Local plan will map out its aspirations for the economy and area, for example where new housing, and a community stadium should go, and how it should be delivered.

Make no mistake; this is your local plan, and it should contain, what you want to see.

We're in a six weeks consultation period which ends on the 13th of March at 5pm.

Please be sure to have your say before that date.

Albert  has already kindly taken the time to complete the short survey and chosen.

Option 2 - Allocate a site for a new stadium at Peaks Parkway (the club's preferred site in 3-5 years)

Option 1 - The council should HELP the football club achieve relocation

Albert commented: Grimsby Town FC is a very important part of our community. Allowing the relocation of the stadium to Peaks Parkway will help our great club to progress and in turn attract more visitors to our town.

Jonathan has chosen these options.

He commented: I do support the relocation of the club to Peaks Parkway. I am Grimsby born and bred and have supported Town for 38 years. The current location of Blundell Park does not help anyone especially the residents around the ground. A new stadium will help with congestion, help the club to progress and also bring in much needed revenue to the Town Centre as fans will pass through the town centre from the motorway rather than driving past. It will also enable NE lincs council to show how a forward thinking council can progress the town and its football team to success, you only have to look across the river to Hull who when at Boothferry Park in the 1980-1990's were two divisions below Town- look at them now. The football club is important for the identity of the town, as i currently live away from Grimsby, i meet people who know of the town purely from the football team and we do not want to lose this.
