MANSFIELD Town striker Ollie Palmer has joined the Mariners on an initial one-month loan deal - subject to FA, Football League and Football Conference clearance.
The 22-year-old signed for the Stags for an undisclosed fee from Havant & Waterlooville and boasts a great pedigree having been voted as 'Player of the Year' in the Conference South in 2012/13, following an excellent season at H&W in which he finished as top scorer with 25 goals.
Premiership side Chelsea were reported to have kept tabs on Palmer, who struck on 38 occasions in just 62 starts during his stay at Westleigh Park.
However, it was at Woking where the youngster first began to carve out a reputation as a regular talisman, as he progressed through the youth ranks and made a handful of first team appearances.
Palmer's best attributes are said to be his strength, style and technique. In total, he netted five goals in 43 appearances during his first season at Mansfield.
Height: 6'5" (196 cm)
