YOUTH player Harry Clifton (17) has signed for the club on professional terms.
The Grimsby lad, who is a central midfielder, has impressed Town boss Paul Hurst during pre-season games against Cleethorpes Town and against Championship side Derby County on Saturday.
Speaking after penning his first pro deal, Town boss Paul said: "When he first came in he fitted in no problem. But it was the second half of last season that, watching the youth team, he started to impress.
"He's just very professional and there's no question marks about his temperament. He wants to do well."
Harry has signed a two-year deal with the club.
Interviews with Paul Hurst and Harry coming up on Mariners PlayerHD soon.
