DAVE Roberts, secretary of the Mariners Trust, says that the response to their Operation Promotion campaign has been staggering.
The campaign has raised over £33,000 in just over two days and international celebrity Adam Richman has even got on board.
Dave said: "The Trust are naturally delighted with the response to our "budget boost" campaign and to deliver over £33k in just over two days is just staggering.
"Grimsby Town supporters are just the best."
He continued: "When we launched we were confident we would beat our target but none of us envisaged anything like this. The thing is we have many more initiatives in the pipeline and the good thing that has come from this is that we are getting more ideas and offers from supporters all the time. Budget boost is just the first part of Operation Promotion and there are more events planned for later in the year. It just goes to show what can happen when everyone pulls together and we dare not even think about what the total could be by the end.
"Thank you so much to everyone who has contributed and let's hope this helps deliver what we all want at the end of the season."
Such has been the response to the initiative the group are having to restock its rewards for fan pledges!
In return for pledges, fans have been given special Mariners memorabilia and access to unique experiences.
After selling out on day one, the Trust have added a batch of new specially-designed T-shirts (£20) and mugs (£10), which can be bought together for £30.
Supporters who are not online can still make a pledge by putting their money into a sealed envelope and bringing it into the Grimsby Town ticket office.
