Residents and supporters had their chance to have their say on the club's proposed move to a community stadium on Peaks Parkway today.
The public meeting, held at the Mariners Trust Bar, saw a steady stream of people with questions and objections for directors John Fenty and Philip Day.
This was the third and final consultation meeting where the club have been emphasising the importance of including the project in North East Lincolnshire Council’s Local Plan.
Speaking after the meeting, John Fenty said: “The support is overwhelming and has surpassed any expectations.”
"A large number of people have responded to the survey and there’s been some fantastic comments, both for and against, which will help us when submitting an application.
“But the facts are for almost two years now, the objectors are those who have had the biggest say.
"There is no way we have had an advantage or a bigger say.
"Although this was the final consultation meeting people can still have their say by taking a couple of minutes to complete the Local Plan survey.
"I can i cannot emphasise enough how important it is for people to have their say on the Local Plan.
"Your input is kindly appreciated. Thank you."
