Dover Team News

23 March 2015

MIDFIELDER Jack Mackreth is likely to miss Tuesday's Vanarama Conference trip to Dover through illness.

The former Macclesfield man missed Saturday's victory over Eastleigh because of the bug and has been told to stay away while he recovers and is clear of the virus.

Assistant manager, Chris Doig, who took the pre match press conference, explained.

"He's still got another 24 hours. He was still struggling this morning and obviously it was best to keep him away from the rest of the lads.

"We'll give him that extra 24 hours, see how he is, and see if he recovers."

Asked if there will be any changes to the side that saw off Eastleigh, he said: "The lads have been doing well so there's been no real reason to change the team. Obviously that frustrates the lads that don't play, but if they are playing well they have a right to keep their place.

"It'll be interesting to see what way the gaffer goes tomorrow night. Lenny obviously missed out at the weekend, because Ollie and JP had done so well in the last two games, but he came off the bench and scored. It causes a problem but it is a good problem to have."
