Josh Joins Town

26 March 2015

Town swoop ahead of 5pm loan deadline.

WE are pleased to announced that experienced defender Josh Gowling has joined the club on loan from Kidderminster Harriers.

Town fans will no doubt remember the distinctive central defender from past encounters against Lincoln City and the Harriers.

The former Bournemouth and Lincoln City man has close to 300 senior career appearances to his name, 90 of those coming for Harriers prior to the 2014/15 season after he first signed Lincoln in late August 2013.

And Town boss Paul Hurst is delighted to get his man ahead of today's 5pm loan deadline. He said: "It's an area where I don't think we've got too many players - Danny Parslow, Chris Doig, who hasn't played for a long time. While Doigy is keeping himself fit, he's felt a few little niggles along the way.

"I'm also a bit conscious with a possible suspension for Toto looming, Shaun on seven bookings, and he could be needed in the full-back position as well.

"I felt that it was an area where we would be foolish not to try to do something," he added.
